The Three Best Rickie Lee Jones Songs
I don’t really have much to say or time to say if I did. But, I’m pissed at the f’ing around that Echoes In The Wind has taken over the past several weeks, trumped by the demise of Frisian’s Other Favorites (seemingly for the same reason) that I’m posting out of solidarity. Screw ‘em…post on!
Rickie Lee Jones – Danny’s All-Star Joint
Rickie Lee Jones – Satellites
Rickie Lee Jones – Woody And Dutch On A Slow Train To Peking
Brothers under the skin that we are, Echoes has relaunched with a wonderful article about one of the most underrated singer/songwriters on the planet: Darden Smith. Read it here.

Coolsville was the one for me.
I like “it must be love” from the Magazine album. coming late to the game tonight, any idea where the Darden Smith article got re-posted to?
D3efinitely agree with “Danny’s”. Been too long since I heard “Woody & Dutch” but most of those first two albums is brilliant, so I’ll agree on that one too. Don’t remember/never heard “Satellites” but it’s only fair that we acknowledge her later work.
Oh, Rickie…we had such hope for you. Did the business tear you apart or was it those concerts where you were so wasted that you were falling off the piano stool? Your recent work has been very good, but I know you’ve got at least one more truly great song in you.
