There are two kinds of people in the world: those who hear “I saw Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt in concert last night” and get it and those who don’t.
The ones who don’t get it need an explanation and even then don’t get it. It’s like describing sex to someone who’s never had it. The description always falls short of the experience. That’s why truly great concerts (and sex) live on in your memory and the rest get reviews.
