Six records from the 4848 songs in my iTunes alternative genre, chosen at random with numbers generated by Random-Dot-Org. Clearly there are some tags that needed to be fixed. Then again, who says Loretta Lynn’s not alternative?
#551 Peter Himmelman – Still Don’t Know
#1087 Liz Phair – Closer To You
#2595 Yo La Tengo – I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One
#3881 Regina Spektor – Lady
#4072 Loretta Lynn – The Home You’re Tearing Down
#4698 Faust – Party 10

It’s been almost three weeks since I’ve done a live mix so I was a bit rusty out of the gate. Plus, I built the set around a stack of CD’s from the library that I’ve never heard. But I think it came out pretty well. Anytime you can hear Hall and Oates and BeBop Deluxe in the same set, well, your ears are bound to have fun.
- Snow Patrol – How To Be Dead (A and M)
- ELO – Strange Magic (UA)
- St. Etienne – Amateur (Mantra)
- David Bowie – Queen Bitch (RCA)
- Supergrass – Alright (Capital)
- Tracey Ullman – Break-Away (MCA)
- The Rockets – Rollin’ By The Record Machine (Elektra)
- ZZ Top – Move Me On Down The Line (London)
- Liz Phair – Leap Of Innocence (Capital)
- Hall and Oates – I Can’t Go For That (RCA)
- Spiritualized – I Want You (Arista)
- Echo and The Bunnymen – The Cutter (Sire)
- Zeena Parkins – The 2 Infinites (Tzadik)
- Jefferson Starship – Git Fiddler (Grunt)
- Peter Himmelman – Blind Ambition (Mystic Recordings)
- BeBop Deluxe – Ships In The Night (Harvest)
- Unknown Trojan CD cut
- Rolling Stones – Beast of Burden (Rolling Stone/Atlantic)
