Brothers in arms to the Fusion 45 Music Junkie, our friends over at Any Major Dude have posted a beauty today: The Age of The Afro: 70’s Soul, Volume 1. The Half-Hearted Dude weighs in with some Earth, Wind and Fire, Chi-Lites and Billy Paul, to name a few. A must visit.
As noted on yesterday’s Aquarium Drunkard, Neil Young plans to limit the release of his Archives project to just DVD and Blu-Ray. The post says “multi-media format(s),” so I presume this is straight DVD (as opposed to the ill-fated HD-DVD) and standard multi-media Blu-Ray (as opposed to the equally useless “high-resolution” stereo Blu-Ray). Confused yet? I’m crafting an email today to Neil’s people suggesting he release all the Archives discs as low resolution 78 RPM only. Take that music business!
