Two kids are wrapping up their baseball seasons this week while the other is in full swing (and starting a four game ‘road trip’ this week) That’s him to the left, with the hair.

So, getting things done here at F45 has been a challenge; have much in mind I want to share (last installment on Hal Blaine, some goodies from eMusic, a little free-form p’cast I’m itching to do). But, it’ll have to wait.

In the meantime, some props for the peeps in the music world who’ve got it going on:

Thanks to our newest friend, DJ NYC, for the listing on their site, which is a nice looking mix of photos from their gigs and music from their iPods. I particularly like a band they posted call Metrophonics. Here’s a listing of some of their stuff for further research.adog.jpg

A big tip of the rain hat to Paul Rhodes over at Rock Revival for connecting me with the folks at WNEW, for whom I started writing last week. If you’ve not looked at his site, please do so today; it is among the best classic rock sites out there. Even without a link back to my site — which is my one criteria for Friends of Fusion 45 status — he’s gets to be in that special section of honor, bestowed with gratitude.

A doff of the space helmet to Chris over at Local Vertical for his ongoing support of Fusion 45. If you’ve not looked at his site then you’re missing the boat (or, should I say, rocket). Simple yet colorful, great topics and great writing.

I’m always happy to see a new post at A Deeper Shade of Soul. Whether it’s on a new album (his recent post on Al Green was excellent) or a conversation about the music industry, Ben is right on the money. Check his most recent post which deals with a topic that fascinates me: the past, present and future of the music business. He also links to an excellent op/ed piece from the New York Times which melds perfectly with his post.

Finally, I’d like you to take a minute and visit my friend Rebecca Anderson. Rebecca’s from Michigan (which is a great place to be from) and has tremendous pedigree as a singer. What’s more, she’s intelligent, attractive and performs some very inspiring music. There’s a song on her site called Come This Way; while it’s not the style I usually have going on my iPod, I’m really impressed with her voice and her great message. So, give her some props and spread the word.

Namaste,
Music Junkie At Fusion 45
