One For The Turtles

TBT

This one got high marks from the kids this morning as we tunneled through the gloaming on the way to school. My 10-year old said Nowhere To Hide was exactly in tempo with the flashing lights of the school bus ahead of us and Dog On A Leash was a toe-tapper for all my little folkies-in-training.

Trampled By Turtles say “if you play in a band in Duluth, MN, you’re bound to start another band with people from other bands in Duluth.” Amazing that Duluth could be a hotbed of hillbilly music, but there you have it. Must be all the time spent indoors, hiding from the cold weather.

The cuts below are from the second of the five albums they’ve recorded over the past five years, this one called Blue Sky And The Devil. I listened to the rest of the disc on the way home and didn’t find a cut that I didn’t like.

I understand they’re quite the road warriors, so check them out if you can and buy their discs if you like them.
