Franz Ferdinand

Try though I might, I just don’t get what all the fuss is about with Franz Ferdinand. To an old guy like me, they’re just another in a long line of bands that sound painfully like a 1000 bands that have come before (so many come to mind, I can’t even name one).
But to the teenagers who made them famous, FF are fresh, exciting, new, different. In short, they are of their time so their derivative nature doesn’t even matter. When I was 10 and thinking Crocodile Rock was the absolute coolest song ever written, it hardly mattered that it was just Keep A Knockin’ with a Farfisa.
So goes the constant evolution — or maybe that’s, revolution — of pop culture.

I gave up on music after 1987 but I did like this album. Good choice.
I can name one:Gang Of Four. They ripped those guys off royally, right down to the angular guitar work.
I don’t get it either.
